A Simple Solution is a small well-established company offering a wide variety of learning experiences for people wishing to develop English Language Skills. These experiences include:

• English Courses in Glasgow individually designed to develop English as a Second Language for each client and is suitable for all age groups. These courses run throughout the year.
• An 'English Summer Schools in UK' programme (consists of two programmes) designed to integrate young overseas pupils completely into the English way of life. Pupils on this programme live and take part in all routines and activities at one of our English Boarding Schools. They are given the opportunity to learn English at UK Schools through full immersion in the English National Curriculum. This course runs for 3 weeks every year at the end of the English academic year. We work with six boarding schools all offering overseas pupils a wide variety of learning and activity based experiences that encourage them to learn English at UK Schools. This programme is extremely popular and gets full very quickly.
• International Baccalaureate/IB courses at leading UK Boarding Schools.
• Work experience for overseas students aged 20+.

English Lessons in Glasgow - English as a Second Language

At A Simple Solution we understand that development of English as a Second Language is very much a necessity in this day and age and therefore we specialise in offering private and semi-private English lessons in Glasgow all year round for all ages at all ability levels. English lessons in Glasgow can include cultural visits for added dimension and these, too, are designed to meet and develop the interests of each individual. There is no minimum and no maximum period of time for any of our courses.

We also offer educational programmes (summer schools) for overseas pupils aged 11-18 years along with a work experience programme for overseas undergraduates/graduates. Educational programmes and work experience programmes are designed to help non-native speakers improve their English Language Skills. Pupils on the educational programmes have full immersion in English Language through life in the boarding house and by following a full English National Curriculum timetable giving them the opportunity to develop their English skills by being able to learn English in UK Schools. Work Experience programmes offer students the opportunity to develop English skills and professional working practices.

Currently, the educational programmes are mainly taken up by Spanish Pupils aged 11-18 years but the programmes are suitable for all overseas students wishing to improve their English Speaking Skills.

The work experience programmes are designed to offer overseas graduates/undergraduates the opportunity of working for a UK company with a view to learning professional working practices whilst developing language skills in English.

English Courses in Glasgow

Our English courses in Glasgow tend to be for longer term students, typically students wanting to study particular aspects of the English Language for 2-3 months or longer. These students may concentrate on pronunciation, grammar, examination techniques. Again, all our English courses in Glasgow are tailored specifically to the needs of the student exactly as the English lessons in Glasgow. The difference between the English courses in Glasgow and the English lessons in Glasgow is mainly one of duration.

English Summer Schools in UK - English Boarding Schools

We offer 2 Programmes

• English Summer Schools in UK - Programme 1 - Overseas Pupils aged 11-16 years live with full time boarders of all nationalities in English boarding schools for the final 3 weeks of the English academic year. They are fully immersed into the English way of life communicating in English with native speakers and other nationalities for the whole 3 weeks. A high percentage of overseas pupils on this programme return year after year. When overseas pupils come on this programme and take advantage of the opportunity to learn English at UK Schools their English Language skills improve significantly.

• English Summer Schools in UK - Programme 2 - Overseas students aged 11-18 years live with full time boarders of all nationalities in English boarding schools for the final 3 weeks of the English academic year. This programme differs from Programme 1 in as much as their free time has greater flexibility, reflecting the more mature ages of students. Once again, when overseas pupils come on this programme and take advantage of the opportunity to learn English at UK Schools their English Language skills improve significantly

International Baccalaureate (IB)

We are not directly involved with any International Baccalaureate (IB) courses but we work closely with a leading Boarding school that is. It is considered to be one of the leading IB schools in the country. Click International Baccalaureate for more information.
