DALLAM INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL

Dallam International Summer School is in the truly beautiful countryside of Cumbria and on the southside of the Lake District. It is within easy distance of Lake Windermere and other areas of natural beauty.

The summer school is aimed at students aged 12-16 and is designed to ensure complete immersion into the English Language and culture through a fun packed summer programme.

The summer school at Dallam offers a unique opportunity to experience life in an English Boarding school during term time. The summer school programme is activity packed. It has a learning programme over a two week period which includes dedicated English lessons with the emphasis on enjoyment in the morning and learning activities outside the classroom in the afternoon. This comprehensive programme also offers heritage trips that may include a trip to Edinburgh or Liverpool or Beamish Open Air Museum. Extra-curricular activities on offer are diverse and may include such interesets as art, drama, music, sport and exploring the outdoors.

Tutors are well qualified and join students on trips and take part in evening activities. Afternoon activities include a mixture of supervised sports or arts based projects. The summer programme is exceptionally well resourced and all activities, projects and trips are structured with the improvement of English in mind. Students on this summer programme are guaranteed 100% immersion into the English language and culture.

Road networks to Dallam are excellent and Manchester and Liverpool airports are both within 1½ - 2 ½ hours travelling time.

Dallam enjoys a rural setting, is close to the coast and the unrivalled beauty of the Lake District; home of Beatrix Potter and Wordsworth. It is an area of peace and tranquillity but well served by transportation routes, with Manchester Airport only 90 minutes away.
