RESIDENTIAL SUMMER PROGRAMME IN GLASGOW (17+ Years)Our Residential Summer Programme in Glasgow is designed for ...... English learners in their late teens, early 20's. This programme recognises that more mature students want the benefit of structured English lessons with the ability to organise and manage their own leisure time. A great deal of thought and planning has gone into providing a summer programme that offers English to older students. |

English Language Residential Summer ProgrammeEnglish Classes on this residential summer programme study the four basic skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening. The aim of this programme is to focus strongly on improving the student's ability to speak fluently and communicate effectively in English by developing knowledge of grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. The course is planned to provide English for older students and classes are designed to meet the needs and interests of the group with a range of interesting and topical resource material being used to aid learning and understanding. Lessons to develop English language learning are 3 hours per morning Monday to Friday and advice is given to students on how to self-study during free time. During exceptionally busy times lessons may take place during the afternoon. The
Language School also offers a range of diverse Language Courses. |

Leisure Time The programme acknowledges that although the focus is to develop English Language learning the course had to reflect the ability and desire of more mature students to organise and direct their own leisure time. The course offers class members the opportunity to get together one or two evenings a week with local structured activities if they wish to do so but there is no obligation to do so. It also offers cultural trips (one per weekend) that will stumulate interest in learning English for older students. For example you may be offered a day trip to Edinburgh, a trip to Loch Lomond, or site-seeing around Glasgow. Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland and offers something for everyone! Theatres, shopping, sport, cinema, clubs, restaurants, pubs, exceptional museums and unbelievable countryside within easy travelling distance. For students who enjoy keeping fit we can arrange short term membership to one of Glasgow's leading health and fitness organisations. Facilities include, gym, pool, fitness studio, sauna, steam room, cafe, etc. |
